Transparency, elegance, simplicity and lightness of touch:  these are the main features of what was very avant garde for the time.  Although this table was designed back in 1928 and1929, it is still as modern and popular as ever today.  This Le Corbusier table was called “Tube d'Avion” and would appear to be totally impervious to the passing of time.
